Faculty of Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University
19 - 25 Nov 2023
2nd Runner-Up and Friendship Award

This year, I participated as a competing team member (last year I joined as an observer). My responsibilities included managing the server, which allowed me to gain experience with Docker, creating dashboards using Streamlit, developing APIs with FastAPI on Python, and facilitating communication between AIoT devices using the MQTT Protocol. Additionally, I integrated my system with the hardware and simulations (MATLAB) of my teammates, culminating in an almost complete project that earned us the second runner-up award.

This year, I started to open up and converse with friends from other universities participating in the competition. This led to strong relationships and collaboration, enabling us to help each other succeed in the competition. Our advisor jokingly remarked that I had become the TA of the competition. Additionally, my friends at our table were lonely enough to create the hashtag #เพื่อนผมหายครับ (#MyFriendIsMissing) just before the final vote for the Friendship Award. Ultimately, I received the Friendship Award as well.

Thank you very much to everyone.
Thank you for turning my reluctance to join this competition into an enjoyable and fun experience.
See you again when the opportunity arises 😍

Our final idea was the "Smart Crosswalk," an intelligent road-crossing system designed to reduce the risk of accidents. With the team's dedication, we managed to pitch the idea on stage in front of a single judge. This allowed us to push everything to the limit without any interruptions, leading us to win the First Runner-Up award. Yay! \o/

In addition, we received compliments from the judges for the Solo Presentation, which effectively covered all aspects of the product and clearly conveyed the concept. Our business mindset, which is often uncommon among engineers, was also praised, leaving us beaming with pride. =v=

  • DrugScanner: the application provides medication information using smartphone cameras combined with artificial intelligence technology 2022

In every era of Thai society, there has been a longstanding emphasis on life and health, evident from ancient traditional medicine's use of herbs to maintain and treat health since ancient times. This concern for health has continued to grow among people, where "medicine" plays a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, alleviating, curing, or preventing human illnesses and discomforts. In today's society, medicine is considered essential for sustaining life and extending human longevity.
Each type and form of medicine has different methods of use, mechanisms of action, or required dosages. Sometimes, the labels on medication products may be difficult to read, ambiguous, or hard to understand. Additionally, healthcare providers such as doctors or pharmacists may have limited time to explain information comprehensively to every patient.
Recognizing these issues, our team has conceived a solution: to develop a mobile application that uses smartphone cameras and artificial intelligence technology to read and analyze medication labels. This aims to enhance efficiency and convenience, reduce the burden of memorization, and serve as a helpful tool to improve human health.

  • The organization's document tracking and management system web application 2021

Currently, the Pharmacy Department of Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, allows prescribing physicians to procure specialty medicines for specific diseases by filling out forms manually and submitting them through the pharmacy department's administrative unit. The processing time ranges from 1 day to 1 month due to the variation in handling physical documents, which can lead to delays and unclear prioritization.
Furthermore, current document status tracking relies on manual methods such as phone calls or direct inquiries to administrators, resulting in time and human resource inefficiencies. Moreover, some documents still require handwritten entries, leading to data inaccuracies and inconsistencies.
To address these challenges and enhance operational efficiency, our team envisions developing a web application-based document tracking and management system for procuring specialty medicines. This solution aims to streamline document handling processes and improve overall efficiency.

The website facilitates student registration for activities within the school, allowing them to sign up conveniently without needing to repeatedly enter their information. They only need to fill out their details once during the initial registration. The website is built on HTML, CSS (including Bootstrap), PHP, and JavaScript, incorporating various Open Source tools such as Summernote WYSIWYG Editor for the editor and MDBootstrap for Bootstrap enhancements.

The project utilizes techniques and libraries previously used with SMDWebDev, adapted and improved to enhance the website's structure and overall security. This includes implementing updates to ensure the site meets modern security standards, which will also be applied to SMDWebDev in the future.

  • Website for The Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University (Modindaeng) 2019

This project marks my first serious endeavor into web development after previously focusing on websites for competitions. It involves revamping the school's existing website, which I found to still be using Joomla, a somewhat outdated technology. The site was not fully meeting some of the teachers' requirements, and managing components, modules, and plugins was challenging and cumbersome.

To address these issues and enhance the capabilities of the existing website, I initially explored alternative CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and Blogger. However, I encountered limitations that prevented me from customizing them extensively to meet our needs. Ultimately, I decided to develop the website from scratch, leveraging HTML, CSS (including Bootstrap), PHP, and JavaScript. Additionally, I integrated various Open Source tools such as Summernote WYSIWYG Editor for content editing and MDBootstrap for enhancing Bootstrap functionalities.

This new approach allows for greater flexibility and customization, ensuring the website meets all necessary requirements and enhances its overall performance and usability.
